The partnership between Idlib Health Directorate and the Qatari Red Crescent is considered a pioneering experience in the field of joint humanitarian work. The level of cooperation and coordination between the two parties has reached high levels, which contributing to the accomplishment of many very important medical projects, foremost among them "the Bridges of Healing and Hope project for treating cancer patients in northern Syria" . This project is being implemented by the Qatari Red Crescent in collaboration with the directorate to provide high-quality and expensive cancer drugs for free to patients in the region

During the meeting between (Dr. Hussam kara Mohammed, the Deputy Director of Health in Idlib, and a delegation from the Qatari Red Crescent) , ways to enhance cooperation between the two parties were discussed. The meeting also reviewed the most prominent needs of the health sector in the region and the ways to provide as many of those needs as possible During the visit, the Deputy Director of Health presented the Qatari delegation with "a shield of appreciation" for the outstanding medical response carried out by the Qatari brothers since the earthquake on February 6, 2023, until today.
