Idlib Health Directorate, represented by Dr. Abdulhakim Ramadan, in collaboration with Syria Dev, participated in the 8th Global Symposium for Health Systems Research HSR 2024 hosted by the city of Nagasaki, Japan. This participation reflects the Directorate’s commitment to exchanging expertise with international organizations and showcasing successful experiences in strengthening health systems, particularly amidst the exceptional challenges facing the health sector in conflict-affected areas.

During the session, the Directorate’s representative addressed the challenges of sustainability and governance in the health sector of northwest Syria, highlighting the solutions and measures adopted to overcome these obstacles and enhance the efficiency and continuity of health services under difficult circumstances.
