In the period April 21-25, 2024, the Idlib Health Directorate hosted a scientific week, the first of its kind in Syria, organized by the SAMS organization and it included 47 important medical lectures in the specializations of: heart diseases and surgery, chest diseases, kidney diseases, endocrinology, oncology and gynecology, presented by specialist Syrian doctors who came from expatriate, in the presence of more than 500 participants from medical personnel, and many medical education activities, specialized practical training and multidisciplinary intensive care tours were organized. The Scientific Week also witnessed the organization of a specific workshop on breast cancer

the specialized team also provided 785 specialized medical consultations, it also performed many specific surgical operations, including replacing valves, closing large heart openings with a catheter, neuro-cerebral interventions via a catheter, and gynecological laparoscopic operations.

The importance of this scientific week comes from providing quality medical care for a number of medical cases, building capabilities and sharing knowledge with local medical personnel, which contributes to improving the quality of health service and raising the efficiency of medical personnel working in the region.
