With the aim of discussing the reality of the work of dialysis centers, and reviewing the most prominent difficulties that hinder their work, a meeting was held in the Idlib Health Directorate with the directors of dialysis centers and the Syrian Civil Defense, where various issues related to the work of these centers were reviewed, especially with regard to supplying them with medical supplies and consumables, and enhancing coordination. Regarding the transfer and referral of patients between centers, the Directorate will, based on the outcomes of this meeting, prepare a report on the reality of the work of dialysis centers and their needs, and share it with the Health Cluster in Gaziantep.

It is noteworthy that dialysis centers witnessed, during the past year, a significant depletion of their capabilities as a result of the increasing number of their patients following the earthquake, and the recording of hundreds of cases of crushing injuries that require dialysis sessions.
