Within the process of responding to the earthquake of February 6, 2023, which Idlib Health Directorate carries out in cooperation with the humanitarian partners working in the governorate, restoration work continues for a number of health facilities damaged by the earthquake. The plan includes the restoration of 14 health facilities in Idlib Governorate, with funding from the Syrian Civil Defense ( White Helmets ) and joint supervision with Idlib Health Directorate.

It is noteworthy that 33 health facilities in Idlib Governorate were damaged by the earthquake (14 hospitals and 19 health centers), and the damage ranged from cracks in the walls, the collapse of part of the building, and cracks in columns and bridges following the earthquake, the Directorate formed a technical committee that studied the technical and engineering condition of all health facilities that were affected by the earthquake, and developed a plan for the necessary repairs needed, and communicated with partners to complete the restoration work.
