With the aim of expanding the free CT Imaging service in Idlib Governorate, and alleviating the suffering of patients, a modern 32-slice CT machine was operated in Idlib Surgical Hospital, in cooperation between IHD and SEMA Organization that supports this hospital, where the CT service will be available of all kinds and free for all hospital visitors.

The importance of operating this device lies in the fact that the region suffers from a severe shortage of medical equipment, especially magnetic resonance imaging, and CT, which most doctors in various specializations rely on to diagnose the disease accurately, and most of the medical devices currently in service have exhausted their lifespan, especially after the earthquake disaster which doubled the need for hospitals, and it became necessary to support the health sector in the governorate with modern equipment, in addition to the big crowding witnessed in the free CT imaging centers, where many patients are forced to wait several days for their turn to come because they are unable to pay the costs of imaging in the centers, Mainly due to the difficult living situation of the people.
